May has finally arrived and that means NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK MONTH! What a great thing to celebrate! Sure, May has lots of things going on to celebrate...Mother's Day, Graduations, my Daughter-in-laws birthday, end of the school year, Memorial Day....but my favorite has got to be National Scrapbook Month!! (sorry Mom and Jessica, I still love you both!) At Close To My Heart we are celebrating with a special paper packet called DREAM POP. It has 24 pieces of paper (12 B&T's and 12 cardstocks with glossy resist!) in yummy summer colors! This packet is going to be so much fun, and you can't beat the price! Only $10 for the packet with a $35 purchase of current product! Just look at this fun paper pack:
And here are the glossy resist cardstocks:
Can you see those glossy resist patterns? You can run your ink pad over the cardstock and the ink won't stick to the glossy parts! The other side is just the solid color cardstock. You can also host a Gathering and if your sales total $400 or more you get 1 DREAM POP paper packet free!
I am offering a workshop using this paper packet! The workshop will be held on a Saturday in early June. The workshop will include two 2 page layouts, 3 cards and 6 of our Treat Tubes decorated and ready for a treat! Cost of the workshop is $66 and includes the DREAM POP paper packet, the MAY STAMP OF THE MONTH (which we will use on the projects) and most everything else you will need besides adhesive, and tools. I will provide white cardstock, washi tape, and use of my ink pads in the colors we will use. If you would like to see more on this workshop contact me soon! The DREAM POP paper packet is only available during the month of May, while supplies last. The workshop price includes shipping and tax and the order must be placed through me.
Here is the May Stamp of the Month that we will use in the workshop:
It has 10 stamps, including the pinwheels, stars and phrases! The SOTM is only $5 with a $50 purchase, and is included with the workshop price! You can see it on my website HERE! Both the Stamp of the Month and the Dream Pop pack can be ordered on my website if you don't want to attend the workshop.
If anyone is wanting to have a Home or Online Gathering and get FREE products, give me a call so we can get it set up and going! With sales of just $150 you qualify for $25 of free product! And who couldn't use that? Don't want to host at your home, we can have it at mine! You provide the guests and refreshments and I will provide my home!
Stop back by my blog again soon, and before you go, let me know what you think of our DREAM POP pack!

CTMH Star/Buzz and Bumble
Hello! I just realized I have never posted my Star on my blog so am going to show it to you now. If you have never been here before, grab a cup of tea and take a look around. Feel free to become a follower and come back often!!
This project uses the Close To My Heart My Creations Star. It is white chipboard and really fun to work with! I used the Buzz and Bumble paper pack to cover mine. Modge Podge for the adhesive. CTMH has a template for cutting the triangles to cover the star, which helps a lot! I handmade the flower to put in the center. The strips that look like skinny brown ribbon are actually strips of paper I cut! If you would like to make a Star of your own, you can order one on my website: www.scrappinwithj.ctmh.com
Thanks for coming by, and I hope you will stop back soon! Let me know what you think of my Star!

Grandma/CTMH Frame
Hello! Welcome to my blog today! Thanks for stopping in, I hope you take the time to browse around and please, feed my fish!
Today I am showing you a frame I did. I used the Close To My Heart My Creations Bracket Frame (HERE). I have had this for a while and just didn't know what I wanted to do with it, but a few days ago I decided it was the perfect place to put a picture of my Grandmother! I wanted a vintage look with the picture, so I chose the Scholastic Paper Packet (HERE). I think it was a perfect choice! The solid cardstock is COCOA. I used modge podge to adhere the paper to the frame. For everything else I used Liquid Glass and my Tombow runner. I used CHOCOLATE ink for inking my edges on the mats and tag.
The frame is kind of like a shadow box. Maybe you can get an idea of that from this picture:
If you see any products here you would like for yourself, they can be ordered on my website:

The trim around the frame is our Colonial White Rosette Ribbon (HERE). Another perfect thing for my vintage look! I have layered it on top of the Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon (HERE) that I colored with my Chocolate ink pad (easy peasy!). It made the Rosette Ribbon POP a little more doing it over the darker ribbon.
I made the tag with more paper from the same Scholastic paper packet, inking around the edges and sanding them a little bit. The smaller tag will pull out, revealing my grandmother's name! I used the LOVE DOILY stamp (HERE) which I heat embossed with our embossing powder. (Love doing that with this doily stamp!) The flower I handmade using yet another paper from the Scholastic paper pack. The SPARKLES FLOURISH (HERE) I colored with a brown copic marker. Those can easily be colored any color with an alcohol marker!
That's it for today. Thanks again for stopping in, and I hope you come back again soon!If you see any products here you would like for yourself, they can be ordered on my website:

More cards
Hello! Thanks for stopping by today! Grab a glass of tea and check out a couple of cards I made recently!
This first one is a Thank-you card that I have done some paper quilting on. (For those who don't know, I have made a few fabric quilts in the past) I used paper from the Close To My Heart CHANTILLY paper packet which I think is very 'spring-y'! I also used Cotton Candy cardstock and in. Two stamp sets were used, GIRL'S ROCK for the little flower, and FOR A FRIEND for the sentiment. Doing the little quilt block was lots of fun, and no sewing was required!!
My next card uses the BUZZ AND BUMBLE paper packet and Sunset, Cocoa, and Champaigne cardstocks. Cocoa and Goldrush inks. The flower is made with BURLAP RIBBON. I rubbed COLOR READY SEAM BINDING RIBBON with my Sunset ink pad to color it the pretty orange and was real happy with how it turned out. The sentiment is from the FLORAL HAPPINESS stamp set, which happens to be our March Stamp of the Month. You can get this 16 piece stamp set for only $5 with a $50 order during the month of March! Check it out!
All of these products and more are available in our Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book or online at my website HEREPlease share it with your friends too!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked my cards. I have one more I made but can't post it yet because it is on it's way west and I don't want them to see it on here before they get it!!
Come back soon and HAPPY CRAFTING!

CTMH Projects
Hello! Thanks for stopping by today! I have to tell you, before I continue, if you plan to come to my CTMH Open House this Sunday (Feb. 24, 2-4 pm at my house) you may not want to look at the pics on this post! It is some of the things I have made to show at my open house!! But, if you don't care if you see them ahead, then feel free to look at the pictures!!
OK, with that said....the first thing I want to show you is a card I made. I will try to link the CTMH products in the post that I used. My LOVE card is made using Black, White and Twilight cardstock. The black and white print squares are our new For Always Textiles. Two of our Spring/Summer collections have the textile packs available. Each pack comes with 3 different prints. The letters for the word LOVE are cut on the cricut using the Art Philosophy catridge. Edges are inked with Twilight. I used Sparkle Flourishes on the bottom. The sentiment on the inside of the card is from one of the stamp sets that comes with the Art Philosophy cartridge.
The next project is the 5x7 Display Tray. It is black and is a lot of fun to work with!! These would make excellent gifts! I used the Buzz and Bumble paper pack. It is, I think, my favorite of the current B&T paper packs! Some of the things I used on this project are: Burlap Ribbon, cocoa stamp pad, Wooden Badge Buttons (which I inked with the cocoa stamp pad!), and the February Stamp of the Month Home Sweet Home. I used the cricut Art philosophy cartridge for the flowers, and the Artiste cartridge for the zig zag and the leafy stem.

My last project is another card I made. For this one I used the Claire Paper Packet, and some Champagne cardstock. The inks I used are Black and Outdoor Denim. The little girl I made using the Paper Doll stamp set. I stamped her clothes on colored cardstock and cut them all out. I added a little bit of Liquid Glass to the glass of lemonade!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you saw something you liked while here! Be sure to go to my CTMH website and check out all the neat things in our Idea Book! www.scrappinwithj.ctmh.com
Come back real soon! (and leave me some comments before you go and tell me what you think of my projects!)

Something new for me!
Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
Today I have to show you something new I tried. I am pretty excited because it is something I NEVER thought I would do, let alone enjoy! Digital Scrapbooking!! CTMH offers StudioJ, which you can link off my website HERE! If you have never tried digital scrapping, this is a good time to give it a whirl, because for the month of February all 2 page layouts are only $5 each. And it is sooooo easy! You can do a lot of different things, even change the colors! I have a lot to learn yet, but given time I think it could be just as fun as regular scrapbooking. If you decide to give it a try, when you go to purchase your layouts, be sure to join one of the open gatherings on my site, as the purchase of layouts goes towards Hostess Rewards for a gathering hostess! And...don't forget the layouts are on sale through the month of Febraury!!
Here is one I did. Remember, I have only done 5 so this is a beginner attempt!
I also did one without embellishments, so I can embellish it when it arrives and will have the dimension of the embellishments! I will post BEFORE and AFTER pictures of it when I get it done! But in the mean while, here are my other 3 layouts.
Thanks for stopping by today, and if you get a chance, go check out Studio J and give it a try! You can create a layout to play and see if you like it without having to purchase any, and be sure and SAVE them so when you go back they will still be there!
Have a great weekend everyone!
